Mission. Arizona Emergency Medical Systems, Inc. (AEMS) shall facilitate continuous improvement of the diverse components of Emergency Medical Services for the Central Arizona Region, through an inclusive, collaborative, patient-focused, and comprehensive approach, to meet the changing needs of the System and the community.


About AEMS. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, AEMS is a community-based, volunteer organization committed to enhancing emergency medical services (EMS) and trauma care for the Central Arizona region. To fulfill AEMS mission, our primary activities involve education, advocacy, and outreach. 
We do not provide direct healthcare service.

AEMS has been fostering collaboration and cooperation among healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, and hospital administrators since 1975.

Board Volunteer Needed.  AEMS is seeking a dedicated volunteer to serve as the Citizen of the Central Region on our Board of Governors.  The individual in this role will play a crucial part in advancing our mission of enhancing emergency medical services (EMS) and trauma care throughout the Central Arizona Region (which includes Maricopa, Pinal, and Gila counties).This position serves as the voice and advocate for the Central Arizona region within the Board of Governors, ensuring the unique needs and challenges of the region are addressed in organizational decision-making processes.

Qualifications:


- A passion for community service, a commitment to improving healthcare outcomes, and a willingness to actively participate in organizational activities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

- Experience or interest in website content development, event planning, fundraising, and/or grant writing;

- Knowledge of emergency medical services, healthcare, or related fields is desirable but not required.

- Residency in the Central Arizona region preferred.

Time Commitment:

- Regular attendance at board meetings (held every other month) and active participation in board committees and activities;

- Additional time commitment may vary depending on specific projects and initiatives.
