Marketing & Social Media Coordinator
The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for managing and enhancing the organization’s presence on Instagram and Facebook, as well as developing high-quality marketing materials. This position requires the creation of content that is consistent with the organization’s brand standards, active engagement with online audiences, and the implementation of strategies designed to expand visibility and reach. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in nonprofit work, an understanding of social media best practices, and a solid foundation in marketing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Development
- Create and publish three (3) posts per week on Instagram and the associated Facebook page, ensuring alignment with the organization’s brand voice and visual identity.
- Utilize appropriate hashtags, captions, and multimedia tools to maximize engagement and audience reach.
Community Engagement
- Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages in a timely and professional manner to foster a supportive online community.
- Proactively engage with relevant accounts and content to increase organizational visibility and strengthen digital presence.
Growth & Performance Strategy
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the organization’s audience across Instagram and Facebook platforms.
- Collect, analyze, and report on engagement metrics to inform and optimize future content and outreach initiatives.
Compliance & Ethical Standards
- Ensure all content adheres to the organization’s branding and compliance requirements, avoiding political or religious content to maintain the organization’s 501(c)(3) status.
Collaboration & Communication
- Attend one quarterly board meeting to remain informed of organizational priorities, objectives, and initiatives.
