Role Overview

The Marketing and Social Media Engagement will be responsible for managing and growing our presence on Instagram, and Facebook and creating engaging marketing material. This role involves creating content that aligns with our brand, engaging with our followers, and strategically increasing our audience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nonprofit work and a keen understanding of social media dynamics and marketing basics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation:
    • Develop and post 2 posts and 2 reels per week on Instagram and the connected Facebook page, ensuring consistency with our brand’s tone and visual style.
    • Utilize appropriate hashtags, captions, and multimedia to enhance engagement and reach.
  • Engagement:
    • Actively engage with followers by responding to comments and messages, fostering a supportive and informative online community.
    • Monitor and interact with related content and users to increase visibility and engagement.
  • Growth Strategy:
    • Implement strategies to increase the number of followers on both Instagram and Facebook.
    • Track and analyze engagement metrics to optimize content performance.
  • Compliance and Ethics:
    • Ensure all content adheres to our nonprofit's guidelines, avoiding political or religious content to maintain our 501(c)(3) status.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Participate in weekly virtual meetings via platforms like TEAMS to discuss strategies and updates.
    • Attend one quarterly board meeting to stay informed about the organization's goals, challenges, and activities.
