Organizational Statement

As the only Postsecondary Transition and Success Program for students with learning differences in Maricopa County, NorthBridge is excited to provide unique services, expand to new sites & help students achieve their academic goals.

The mission of NorthBridge is to provide support, resources, and guidance to students with learning differences as they transition to, persist, and succeed in their educational and vocational endeavors. These learning differences include dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, the Autism spectrum (ASD), non-verbal disorder (NVLD), sensory processing disorder (SPD), working memory, hearing and vision loss, anxiety, depression, and many other differences.

We are seeking passionate, education-focused leaders to join our Board of Directors. As NorthBridge begins its next phase of strategic growth, we need leaders who are willing to join our working board and collaborate on the success of our organization for the benefit of all students and learners.

Duties

• Attend and participate in regular board meetings with minimal absence.
• Join and participate in committees and/or working groups as assigned.
• Serve as a fiduciary with oversight of the organization’s budget and financial activities.
• Support the board and executive director in strategic planning and implementation.
• Fulfill an annual monetary give-or-get to the organization that aligns with your financial means.
• Identify 3-5 potential donors, corporate sponsors, or community partners for the organization.
