Since its founding in 2001, Moonshot, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has focused on supporting entrepreneurship and driving economic development in rural Arizona. Our mission is to lower barriers for founders by providing critical resources such as entrepreneurial curriculum, access to capital, connections to mentors and industry contacts, and even potential clients. This support fosters job creation in these communities, ensuring long-term economic growth.

One of our flagship programs is Moonshot’s Pitch Tour for rural Arizona, now in its 6th year and expanding to 20 tour stops, furthering our reach and impact. Recently, the Moonshot Pitch Tour was awarded a U.S. Department of Treasury grant to expand the 2025 tour and offerings in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority.

Additionally, Moonshot is currently engaged in a capital campaign to raise essential funding that will help fuel the future of small businesses in rural areas. Through strategic mentorship and financial support, we are helping entrepreneurs not only start but scale their ventures, contributing to a more vibrant, sustainable local economy. This capital campaign kicked-off in late 2023 and is currently underway.
