Who Is NVSO?

Mission Statement:  North Valley Symphony Orchestra (NVSO) empowers musicians of all ages and skill levels to explore, learn, and perform exceptional orchestral music. We are dedicated to fostering a deep appreciation for the arts while building a vibrant, inclusive community that engages and enriches the North Valley through the power of music.

NVSO has been in existence for over 10 years and is currently performing our 2024-2025 concert season. Upcoming events include our yearly fundraising Gala which will be on Feb. 22nd and is themed "A Night in Tuscany" and our remaining concerts for this season - March 8th "A Night at the Classics" and May 17th "A Night at the Museum". 

We are the "best deal in town" and always strive to keep our ticket prices reasonable so that as many people as possible can enjoy our wonderful concerts!

Vision Statement: Our vision is to be a vibrant and diverse community dedicated to the artistry and education of orchestral music, enriching lives today while cultivating future musicians and audiences to inspire a legacy of music appreciation and cultural sustainability.

Our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization includes four orchestras, serving all ages and skill levels:   

• North Valley Symphony Orchestra (NVSO) – adults and youth orchestra members who have auditioned and been accepted.    
   

• North Valley Youth Orchestra (NVYO) – Advanced ensemble- youth, typically high school, but also post-high school graduates (19 or younger), or students younger than high school age who have auditioned and been accepted.
   

• North Valley Youth Strings (NVYS) - Intermediate ensemble - youth, typically middle school or early high school students, that have auditioned and been accepted.
   

• North Valley Symphonettes (NVS) – Beginning ensemble -  youth, typically elementary or middle-school students who have at least one year of experience on their instrument.
