BBB Celebrates One Year of BBB4Good in Arizona: Program validates and spotlights businesses contributing to social well-being

As trust in businesses continues to evolve, Better Business Bureau® Pacific Southwest (BBB) is proud to celebrate its one-year anniversary of the BBB4Good Trustmark. Launched to meet the rising consumer demand for purpose-driven businesses, BBB4Good has empowered consumers to choose companies that support causes and positively impact their communities. 

Over the past year, BBB4Good has received interest from over 150 businesses doing positive work in the community, and of those, a prestigious 23 have met the standards to earn the BBB4Good Trustmark. Among them, 7 are in Arizona, 12 are in San Diego County, and 4 are in Orange County. 

Arizona BBB4Good Businesses (as of March 2024) and their impact: 

Mars Coaching: Offers free mentorship to students and those in underserved communities.  

Bloomrock Partners: Provides treasury and startup business volunteer mentorship and charitable work with the youth and underserved communities. 

The Bra Recyclers LLC: Dedicates time to diverting textiles from landfills and promotes environmental stewardship by recycling preloved brassiere and raising awareness about its benefits. 

Tutor Doctor Chandler-Gilbert: Provides discounted student tutoring rates and partners with nonprofits to support and enhance the academic success of children and youth in foster care. 

VB Cosmetics Inc DBA Dazzle Dry Donates to public health, women's shelters, and minority support group nonprofits and partners with WeForest to support reforestation. 

Mark My Words LLC (Walker Bookstore): Donates books and educational materials to those in need, supports organizations in providing scholarships for students facing socio-economic or special needs challenges and helps build churches and child development centers. 

Cherry Blossom Body Sculpting and Plasma Fibroblasting LLC: Donates confidential scar reduction and removal treatments for Survivors of Domestic Violence, Aggravated Assault and Human Trafficking.

"As we mark the first anniversary of honoring businesses with the BBB4Good Trustmark, we are thrilled to see the program's success in elevating those committed to a higher purpose." 

BBB4Good builds upon BBB Accreditation, ensuring that purpose-driven businesses meet rigorous BBB Standards for Trust and BBB4Good Standards of higher purpose, community engagement, authentic marketing, and social and/or environmental impact substantiation. Consumers can easily identify BBB4Good Verified Businesses by the display of the BBB4Good Trustmark on their Business Profiles on bbb.org and websites.  

“As a consumer, seeing the BBB4Good Trustmark on a website would sway me,” said Brian Wood, owner of Arizona-based Mars Coaching. “BBB is an extremely and rightfully respected organization and anyone that looks at that symbol probably realizes that they don't just hand those out, it's got to be earned. That makes it more meaningful.” 

Additionally, BBB4Good is committed to supporting aspiring businesses looking to incorporate a social impact component into their businesses. Through its continued education initiatives, they ensure that even those businesses who were not accepted into the program receive valuable resources and guidance to pursue their goals of making a positive difference in their communities.
