The Retirement of Laurie Liles

The Retirement of Laurie Liles
Dear AZ Impact for Good Friends and Colleagues,
After nearly 10 gratifying years working alongside you—the extraordinary nonprofit and philanthropic professionals who make Arizona better every day—I’m excited to announce I am retiring from AZ Impact for Good on June 27.
When I shared my retirement plans with the AZIFG leadership, board of directors and team in January, I expressed my gratitude for the privilege of leading our public policy and advocacy efforts to advance Arizona’s nonprofit and philanthropic sector.
Now, it’s time to extend my appreciation to all of you.
Thank you for belonging to the AZIFG family. Thank you joining us on the journey we began in 2020—during the height of the pandemic—to merge two separate legacy organizations and create AZIFG, with its bold mission to unite nonprofits and philanthropy to transform Arizona through education, advocacy, and innovation. Five years on, we’re on our way to fulfilling the hopes and dreams that emerged from those earliest, “What if...” conversations.
It’s been the honor of my professional life to help shape our shared vision, first as president and CEO of Arizona Grantmakers Forum for seven years and then as AZIFG’s chief public policy officer for the last three. None of it would have been possible without your continued engagement, the leadership of our stalwart board of directors, and the passion of our incredibly talented team.
We live in a time of tremendous consequence for our sector, state and nation. The work you do has never been more vital and your continued engagement in public policy and advocacy is critical. That’s why I’m thrilled AZIFG is creating a new position to carry your torch forward and on to the next level. I can’t wait to see where you go next, together!
I’m so grateful for all you’ve taught me about the charitable sector, philanthropy, and what it means to live a purpose-driven life. Thank you for embracing me.
We have more advocacy and public policy work to do between now and the end of June, and I look forward to collaborating with all of you as we continue to make an impact for good!
With gratitude,
Laurie Liles
Chief Public Policy Officer, AZ Impact for Good
