Four key factors hold teams and organizations back from addressing challenges and emerging with the learning they need to make progress and impact. Heather Hiscox has been supporting teams in addressing challenges and pursuing opportunities for more than a decade. Heather will specifically talk about the pitfalls and opportunities of how to pick a challenge, how to overcome the fear of empathy, how to abundantly brainstorm potential solutions, and how to test solutions before you take action. Heather will share her reflections and tips from coaching and training hundreds of changemakers as they navigate all types of uncertainty. She will help you get unstuck and move past frustration by providing successful, real-world strategies to move past the unknown to impact.

Heather Hiscox, Founder & CEO, Pause for Change

Heather Hiscox is a Frustrated Changemaker on a mission to change the way WE change the world. Heather is the founder and CEO of Pause for Change. The PAUSE method is a proven framework that helps changemakers address difficult challenges and pursue promising opportunities. These skills help organizations be certain about which solutions will create the greatest impact while using fewer resources and less time. Heather is the author of No More Status Quo: A Proven Framework to Change the Way We Change the World. Heather is also the co-creator and host of Possibility Project, an online conversation series and growing community of disruptive changemakers reclaiming their power through meaningful sparks, connections, and action. Heather speaks at conferences and events about social impact (nonprofit, local government, and philanthropic) disruption and innovation, and has launched several ventures that benefit the social impact sector, connecting organizations to the training, skills, and resources they need to deepen their impact.
