Insights from Our Featured Guests:
Terri Shoemaker | Executive Vice President | Arizona Food Bank Network
Terri Shoemaker is the Executive Vice President at the Arizona Food Bank Network and has worked at the organization for nearly 10 years. In March 2025 Terri was named an "Outstanding Woman in Business" by the Phoenix Business Journal.
Prior to AzFBN she worked as Senior Manager of Direct Response at both PetSmart Charities and Best Friends Animal Society. She came to work in animal welfare after three years at the University of Maine System, where she instituted and bolstered fundraising operations at the three of seven campuses in the system. Terri also served in various direct marketing roles at Feeding America.
When Terri (like so many others who have moved to Phoenix) is asked, “Where are you from?” she has a hard time answering, and usually defaults to saying she is a “midwest mutt.”
Terri holds an undergraduate degree from Ohio University and a master’s degree in public affairs with a concentration in nonprofit management from Indiana University. She and her husband have a dog, Lily, and have also served as guardians to a few cats over the years. Her personal interests include music, writing, reading, making cheese, and creating things out of recycled felt.
Amy Schwabenlender | Chief Executive Officer | Keys to Change
Amy Schwabenlender is the CEO of Keys to Change, formerly known as the Human Services Campus, Inc. Previously Amy spent 13 years as VP of Community Impact for Valley of the Sun United Way, where she worked to end hunger and homelessness and to increase the financial stability of individuations and families in Maricopa County. A 2016 Piper Fellow and a graduate of Valley Leadership, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Communications from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and an MBA from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In her six years at Keys to Change, the Key Campus at 12th Avenue and Madison has provided transformational services with an array of partner organizations to more than 18,000 unique individuals annually; and the organization has expanded to provide street outreach to the unsheltered and Project Connect events.
Kim Beaudoin (they/them) | Marketing & Communications Manager | Keys to Change
Kim Beaudoin is the Marketing and Communications Manager for Keys to Change. A New Jersey native raised in Michigan, Kim holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Vassar College, and an MBA from ASU’s WP Carey School of Business. Kim’s nonprofit career began in Phoenix in 2017 when they joined the finance team at Valley of the Sun United Way, and continued there with volunteer and donor engagement until 2023. Their fundamental belief in housing as a human right and homelessness as a solvable structural problem called them to join the team at Keys to Change in 2023. Kim is a Leading for Change Fellow in the upcoming 2025-2026 leadership cohort.
Rosanne Donovan | Director of Government Partnerships | UMOM New Day Centers
I am a dedicated grant professional with over 14 years of nonprofit experience, including over a decade at UMOM New Day Centers. What began as a passion for helping people access supportive services has transformed into a career focused on securing funding that powers life-changing programs.
Currently, I serve as the Director of Government Partnerships, where I lead efforts to grow and sustain UMOM’s government funding. Over the years, I have written and managed numerous competitive grant proposals, built strong relationships with funders, and collaborated closely with teams across the organization to ensure that every dollar supports our mission.
I take pride in my role in helping UMOM serve families and individuals experiencing homelessness and in being part of a team committed to making a real, lasting impact.
