At a time when countless worthy causes seek the attention of voters, donors, legislators, and conscientious community members, how can you break through the noise? In this webinar, marketing and campaign experts Catherine Alonzo and Elizabeth Davis will share how effective changemakers tell stories that move people to action.

Catherine Alonzo: is a business leader, consultant, podcast host, and public speaker who works with individuals and organizations to create kinder, more equitable communities.

She is CEO and founding partner of Javelina, a leading branding and marketing agency that helps organizations that are creating equity in their communities develop and elevate their powerful stories. Catherine combines her political background (having served on the teams that raised the Arizona minimum wage in 2016, as well as having elected candidates up and down the ballot) with her passion for storytelling for change.

Catherine is proud to support organizations on the frontlines of social change and has been a part of efforts tackling critical issues such as reproductive health, transportation and infrastructure, housing and homelessness, education access, and more. She has been recognized for her business leadership by the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, Arizona Business Magazine, Arizona Big Media, and the Phoenix Business Journal.

Originally from the UK, Catherine lives in Phoenix with her husband Ruben, who shares her love of bunnies, travel, and Yahtzee.



Elizabeth Davis: Javelina’s Marketing Strategist, has a passion for telling the stories of and creating a sense of community around vulnerable populations. She has worked in marketing, social media, and public relations for over 15 years, both in the US and internationally, and has worked on projects from Netflix shows, to major motion pictures, to large sporting events.

Elizabeth is an expert in creating and executing marketing strategies, social media content creation and management, digital marketing, and public and media relations. She even helped start the only professional sports team in New Mexico as Director of Marketing and Communications for the men’s soccer team, as well as leading the Marketing and Communications team for the NWSL’s Seattle Reign, working with internationally renowned athletes and activists including Megan Rapinoe, Jasmyne Spencer, and Jess Fishlock.

Elizabeth lives in her hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico with her three rescue dogs, and enjoys spending time with family, reading, singing, and eating green chili.
