About
Primary Aldosteronism is a common cause of hypertension and a major public health issue. It affects at least 10% of people with high blood pressure and 20-30% of patients with resistant hypertension. A third of patients may be cured with surgery, while others can be treated medically. The Primary Aldosteronism Foundation is committed to advancing standards of care for affected patients through proper diagnosis and treatment, actionable research and inclusive collaboration. To achieve its mission, the Foundation focuses on areas at the intersection of research, diagnosis, treatment and patient-centered solutions.
