About

OPCS is a Tucson-based nonprofit organization serving Pima County since 1996. Our mission is to provide housing, counseling and support services for people experiencing homelessness in our community. The population we serve includes youth, families,veterans, individuals struggling with mental illness and addictions, and those reentering our community post-incarceration. We follow an evidence-based Housing First approach, which centers on giving people immediate access to stable and secure housing, followed by additional supportive services as needed. By providing housing stability first, individuals can begin working on underlying issues around mental health, addiction, medical care, income, and education to help them integrate back into our community.
