Founded on Thanksgiving Day in 2020, Community 43 (C43) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Phoenix, Arizona. While modeled after NYC’s Fountain House Program and Clubhouse International, we are proud to be the only Arizona-based Clubhouse among the 400 similar programs nationwide. Though we draw inspiration from these models, Community 43 operates as an independent entity. We are not a satellite, branch, or campus of either organization, but rather an autonomous nonprofit committed to adapting these successful approaches to meet the unique needs of our local community. Our mission is to foster social inclusion, vocational development, and personal growth for adults facing serious mental illness and general mental health/substance use challenges. 

Our holistic programs, including vocational training, peer-led initiatives, a work-ordered day, community meals, and creative arts activities, have had a profound impact on our members. Studies show that Clubhouse members experience a 50% reduction in hospitalization rates and a 25% increase in employment rates. C43 enables members to regain confidence, build skills, and re-engage in the community.
