Sleep Out 2026: We're sleeping outside so others can sleep inside Most people experiencing homelessness aren't trapped because they lack motivation. They're trapped because they lack access. Without an ID, people can't apply for jobs, secure housing, enter treatment programs, or access many of the services designed to help them rebuild their lives. On July 29, 2026, community leaders, businesses, advocates, and supporters will come together for the Homeless ID Project's annual Sleep Out to raise awareness and critical funding for one of the most overlooked barriers to ending homelessness: identification.
