Step inside Arizona history and into the policymaking process.  

Join AZ Impact for Good for a powerful Day at the Capitol on March 12, hosted inside the historic Senate Chamber at the Arizona Capitol. This is your opportunity to connect directly with state lawmakers, engage in meaningful conversations about current Arizona legislation, and ensure the nonprofit and philanthropic community has a strong, informed voice in the decisions shaping our state.  

Space for the legislator discussion is limited; additional participants are welcome to join your meeting with your legislator.  

 

Session 1: Discussion with Legislators  

Capacity: Limited to 46 attendees (first come, first served; max 2 per organization) 

9:00 AM – 10:00 AM 

We will begin with light breakfast options and coffee as you connect with invited state representatives and fellow nonprofit and philanthropic leaders. This informal hour provides space for conversations about active bills, advocacy priorities, and the real-world impact policy has on the nonprofit sector and the communities we serve. 

 

Session 2: Time to Meet with Your Legislator 

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM 

Following the morning discussion, AZ Impact for Good staff will lead a practical, hands‑on civic engagement session. Attendees are responsible for scheduling their own meetings with their legislators, and resources will be provided to support that process. 

During this session, participants will also: 

  • Receive guidance on navigating the Capitol complex 
  • Learn how to “Register to Speak” using the RTS Terminal 
  • Gain practical tips for confidently engaging in the legislative process 

This session is designed to support both newcomers to advocacy and experienced policy voices. Attendees may come and go throughout this block to accommodate their meeting schedules. 

 

Whether you are new to advocacy or a seasoned voice at the Capitol, this day is designed to be accessible, educational, and empowering. You will leave with a clearer understanding of the legislative landscape, stronger relationships with policymakers, and the tools to advocate effectively on behalf of your organization and the broader sector.
